Mid Surrey Crossroads receives part of its funding from
the National Carers Grant, which is paid to local authorities
to provide support to carers in the community. We also receive
some funding from the Surrey Primary Care Trust. These two
grants enable us to provide many hours of respite care in
the home, although they are insufficient to meet the growing
need for support for carers. We also rely heavily on donations
and other fundraising activities to enable us to provide more
care hours.
Surrey County Council's Children's Services provides the majority
of the funding for Funtastic, our Saturday club. However,
we do have a shortfall every year, which we try to meet partly
from attendance fees and partly from other fundraising activities.

Mid
Surrey Crossroads is a registered charity. The Scheme Manager,
who is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation,
reports to a locally based Board of Trustees. All our Trustees
are volunteers who have a genuine interest in carers' issues.
We are always happy to welcome new members to our Board, particularly
people who may either be carers, or have experience of caring.
If you would be interested in finding out more about becoming
a Trustee for the Scheme, please contact us. |
