We have a team of around 20 carer support workers, three quarters of whom have been with us for over 5 years, and many more have given over 10 years service.
All carer support workers undergo a rigorous recruitment and selection process before joining and are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.
They receive comprehensive induction training including first aid, health & safety, moving & handling, as well as ongoing refresher training when necessary.
What will the carer support workers do?
They are trained to be able to meet a variety of care needs, including assisting with personal care, toileting, mobility and meal and drink preparation.
They are not able to carry out nursing tasks or to assist with housework
